Display the complete name of the space when hovered over with the mouse

Due to the arrangement of the space names in the left bar, none of the space titles can be seen in their entirety. While I would prefer the real estate there to be used more efficiently so that more of the titles could be displayed, could it at least display the entire name on mouse hover?
