Let apps use @mentions in their responses

    Interesting.  Does it actually create an @mention or just ignore it altogether?  I'm curious - how is the app using @mentions in its responses?

    In the message payload the @mention appears as "<@user-id | user-name>". Having an app respond in the same manner shows the @mention correctly. But then it doesn't send a notification via mail nor does it appear in my @mention section in Workspace.

    My use-case is a meeting assistant that brings up a space in which a meeting is about to start. The message includes the topic, time and a selection of space members who should be notified.

    I agree that the ability for an app to @mention someone (or @space) is sorely needed.
