We are definitely looking at simplifying the code block to remove the extra shift-return.
I believe the paste does work - at least if I have text _testing this string_ and paste that into the input field, it's italic in the stream (assume that's the expectation).  The only place we strip it out (and some of this was still work in progress) was in a URL or intraword usage.   But there is definitely a gap if you paste text that was bold (visually) into the input field and don't apply the actual mark down- it doesn't keep that formatting in the stream.  This is good feedback and definitely something we are still iterating on.

    ok, thanks.

if it helps, here's an example of one that doesn't work today:

Yes, that's the intraword bug we have.  Totally agree that's frustrating, and we plan to fix.

I would like to introduce Workspace to my team and partners but cannot share that practice:

    • ```
    • Shift-return
    • paste
    • Shift-return
    • ```
    • return

to work for example on table name  whm_auth_t044

Is there a workaround or solution ?

    Thanks

Hi there, the intraword bug has been fixed on iOS and Android and is being worked on web now.

@vittorio what would you expect the experience to be?

Well the ability to use words like whm_auth_t044 as plain text without worrying about underscores processing.

Perhaps add an user preference on Watson Workspace app to enable markdown directives for italics, but default no processing.
