Watson Workspace has a preview offering and two paid offerings, our Essentials and Plus editions. To learn more about our editions check out this article Understanding Watson Workspace plans and features.
It's easy to get started with our preview edition, just sign in (or register) with your IBMid to https://workspace.ibm.com (or download our apps) and you can be up and running in seconds. However, our Essentials offers key enterprise capabilities such as:
- SAML based single-sign-on
- Organizational administrative controls
- Managed guest user access
- Service Level Agreement
- IBM enterprise grade support
To upgrade from Watson Workspace Preview to Watson Workspace Essentials or Watson Workspace Plus you need to purchase a subscription. Anyone who was previously using Preview will be required to accept the invitation to the Essentials or Plus subscription in order to move their content into the subscription.
I've received an invite to Watson Workspace Essentials or Plus.
Yay! Lucky you! If you received either an email or see a banner in the web app indicating that you were invited to a Watson Workspace Essentials or Plus team this is good news. It means you have been upgraded to Watson Workspace Essentials or Plus (or invited to a new team using Watson Workspace Essentials or Plus).
Here's how you join the team:
- If you are not already there, check your email inbox for an invite to Watson Workspace Essentials or Plus
- That's it. You'll be redirected to Watson Workspace.
Note: If you were already using Watson Workspace your content will all be there when you upgrade however, any spaces that you owned are now managed by your Watson Workspace Essentials or Plus team. This means if that a team administrator could make changes to the permissions for those spaces and not allow apps, or guests in those spaces. If you do not want your content to move to the new team you can transfer the spaces you own to a personal account or decline the invitation.
